Just bought our new to us camper!
A week ago we got what we think was a great deal on a 2013 Riverside Retro 155 camper. We had been looking long and hard for a camper that would fit into our garage or at least our carport (to avoid paying storage fees or parking it in our yard) but that wasn't just a clamshell. We wanted something that had a bed, a kitchen, a bathroom, and a sitting area. And honestly, there is NOTHING out there new that fits those parameters that we could find. The closest thing we found was the NuCamp Tab 320 and it was still just barely short enough to fit in our carport and the bed and dinette were the kind that change into each other. Really, this trailer was the only one that had everything we needed and Riverside had actually quit making this model a couple years back. But we lucked into this one online and drove the 4 hours to go get it. It has some issues and there is water damage but nothing we can't fix to get exactly what we wanted in a tiny camper! It may not be ideal for someone over 6 ft, but for the rest of us, it's awesome. At 6 ft 10 inches external height, it fits! And on the inside, you step into a center kitchen area that is just high enough for my 5 foot 11 husband to stand, and then you step up on either side into a dinette and a bed. And the way they set it up you don't need to be able to stand in either of those areas, so it works like that. And it even has a bathroom. You can't actually take a standing shower in it, but you can use the toilet and if you need to rinse off while sitting or if you have to, hunching over while you stand, you can. Issues- water damage, the previous owners took out the bathroom door and shower hookup and didn't have the hit water hookup installed, they added lots of shelves and hooks everywhere that I want out, they closed in part of the entryway floor because she was short, which needs to be undone, and just the colors are boring and beige. I know it was made to have that old feel, but I like color, so the walls and cabinets need painted and the cushions need redone. I'm going to be adding videos and pictures to this blog as we go forward.
